LAKEPORT >> “If you have ever thought of your mother as a witch or a school principal as an army sergeant, then you will identify with the hero of ”Once Upon a Christmas Card,” said Suna Flores, the play”s director. “I think everyone has had a thought like that at one time or another. That”s the fun of this show.”

The Lake County Theater Company”s production of Once Upon a Christmas Card will open at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport and will continue on December 6,7,13 and 14 with shows at 2 and 7 p.m.

The play is a holiday show for the family, set to the music of Mannheim Steamroller.

“Twinkle lights, a wild cast and great music. You can”t go wrong,” said Larry Richardson, one of the shows stars. “And no one will want to miss our Christmas witch or a guest appearance by Snow White.”

The cast and crew of Once Upon a Christmas Card would also like to remind all those who attend that these are part of Shows for Sharing. Patrons are requested to bring donations of food and toys to the performances with the hope of sharing the production”s holiday spirit with those less fortunate.
