Letter to the Editor: What lies?
You are right Mac. No more lies. Jonathan Gruber was not an architect of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). He ran simulations of the costs in a short time that would have taken CBO a long time to determine. The ACA has no lies in it. It may be vague and long winded but these are not lies. Mr. Gruber was caught on tape giving his opinion of the ACA but that does not make it or the architects liars. “Romneycare” may have been poorly crafted but fraud? Fraud is breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or gain. The only people I see profiting are the insurance companies and doctors charging big fees for unnecessary procedures.
Obama said Gruber wasn”t on the team and he wasn”t one of the architects. I will praise Gandhi or John Kennedy for their great works but did I know them? So what is wrong with Pelosi doing the same? He did save the CBO lots of money. As to me being a fool … do you think I”m stupid? And what about the lame stream media? I”ve seen more than enough coverage on this topic. And I have had enough of Mac thinking I am stupid. The Democratic Party did not call me stupid. Only Gruber did. And then Mac compares Nixon”s ”one” lie to this. Was that one Nixon lie, “I did not do any of the multitude of illegal things that I am accused of.” Does that about sum up his ”one lie”?
What is wrong with this picture? I think it is someone else twisting the truth and calling it lies and fraud and thinking that we, the public, will not know the difference.
