LAKE COUNTY >> Casting has begun for a feature film to be shot in Lake County titled “Clearlake,” a hyper-realistic look at life during one day in the city of Clearlake.

The production is seeking anyone interested in becoming an extra and anyone interested in auditioning for the following roles:

Charles Green

A heavy-set man, age 35 to 49; the mayor of Clearlake who becomes subject to controversy after an elicit video of him is released. The character is based on Toronto mayor Rob Ford.

Francis

A woman, age 24 to 30; Francis is a hard-working temporary aid to the mayor and the daughter of another character in the film.

Rob

A man, age 35 to 49; Rob lives in his car, and we follow much of his exploits trying to make enough money to stay at a motel downtown. He is father of Francis, who wants nothing to do with him because of the events involving her mother”s suicide. This is a physically demanding role. The character will engage in two fights with real hits (no real punches or kicks) and will get forcibly slapped.

Jim Mitchel

A man, age 35 to 45; Jim is a police officer filming an episode of COPS. We follow his exploits making some arrests. This is another physical role. The character will make several realistic arrests.

There are also many smaller roles in the film. Anybody who wishes to be involved should email clearlakefilm@gmail.com with any professional or non-professional headshots and some clips or reels if available. Auditions will be accepted now to Dec. 20.
