CLEARLAKE OAKS >> Cache Creek Vineyards will host a Holiday Charity Faire Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Three Lake County nonprofit organizations, Operation Tango Mike, Lake Family Resource Center and People Services, will compete in a Christmas tree decorating contest. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place participants.

Voting will take place today through Sunday, but the decorated trees will be on display throughout the holidays. Additionally, Cache Creek Vineyards tasting room will be a donation drop off point for all three charities during the month of December.

Operation Tango Mike

In need of personal hygiene products (especially toothpaste and deodorant) socks, puzzle books, and non-perishable snacks.

Lake Family Resource Center

In need of household startup items (towels, bedding, kitchen items, etc.).

People Services

In need of kitchen towels, silverware, drinking glasses, pots & pans and crockpots.

All three organizations will also accept monetary donations.

A silent auction will begin at noon and end promptly at 3 p.m. The proceeds from the auction will be evenly distributed among the charities. Several vendors will be present and will have numerous holiday gift items available for purchase including honey, nuts, soap, art and jewelry.

Cache Creek Vineyards will serve small bites of food throughout the day. There is no charge to attend the event.
