LAKE COUNTY >> Spirit of the Season has provided Christmas gifts to children in need for the past 40 years. This year nearly half of the children”s gift requests remain unfulfilled.
Gift cards with the wish of a child in need can be picked up in Middletown at Hardester”s Market, WestAmerica Bank and TriCounties Bank and in Hidden Valley Lake at Mulligan”s, Century 21 and Morgan Lane Realty offices. Anyone can pick up a card and purchase the gift listed on it. The gift should be returned with the card to the place where the card was originally picked up by Dec. 16.
Monetary donations are also sought to help provide over 100 families with a boxed turkey dinner and basics such as milk and butter. Checks can be made payable to SOS, P.O. Box 1468, Middletown, 95467.
Distribution will be held on Dec. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the First Baptist Church in Middletown. For information, please contact Hedy Montoya at 322-5080.
