It is good to see the debate about creation and evolution in the paper. Usually only one side of the issue is presented, so many are not even aware there is a debate.
Some supporters of Darwinian evolution would like you to believe that the Bible is an old, antiquated book that oppresses people, has no relevance and has the potential of turning you into a sad, pathetic social outcast that fears technology. It is just another way of saying, “will you please be quiet so that only my views are presented.” They want to teach you what to think, without having you actually think about what you are being taught.
The Bible warns of science falsely so called. To extract that because there is observable variation in a species means that we all came from a rock millions of years ago isn”t science. I agree antiquated ideas need to be challenged. Let”s start with the geologic column, introduced in the 1800s by a man who states his purpose was to free the sciences from Moses. The column must be adhered to today. All dating methods bow to it. The fossils date the rocks and the rocks date the fossils. The simplest creatures in the lowest levels are amazingly complex. Look into the research of the eyes of the trilobite. What about poly strata fossils and no erosion between the layers? A scientifically minded person who is allowed to question evolution will find the evidence interesting and the creation/evolution debate to be between equally intelligent and informed opponents.
The Bible does not contradict true science. You do not need to choose between believing one or the other. Not all that calls itself science is based on the scientific theory and not all that calls itself Christianity is based on the Bible. The simple believeth every word, but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
