As we deal with the stormy darkened days of winter rain, I still see so many drivers on the roads with their lights off. Why, oh, why – when the world is gray and dreary – are so many driving without lights? It is often vehicles that are gray, light blue or tan and are the most difficult to see when light is dimmest.

Is it not still a ticketable offense to drive without lights under such circumstances? Perhaps a few random road checks and the threat of a ticket would be effective in reminding some drivers of that fact.
