The annual stuffing day for totes4teens was again the Monday after Thanksgiving. At any one time there were at least 75 people helping with all facets of the assortment, packing, and wrapping of gifts. Conservatively, that equates to almost 400 hours of labor before the duffle bags and other donations were ready for pick-up. It was a relatively last minute decision to add sleeping bags to the donation this year for both boys and girls but by stuffing day we had received 112 for the planned 120 needed. It was also possible, since sizes and ages were provided, to add a winter parka or jacket for each recipient.

Many of the donations include handmade items some of which were Christmas bags (Girl Scout Troop 10676), blankets (Soroptomist), pillow cases (HVL members), and scarves and hats (many from Lake County and beyond), that always adds a very special and personal touch to each donation.
