Lake County >> The Lake County Office of Education (LCOE) Career and College Readiness Department is gearing up for the next Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) class. This class is scheduled to begin on February 16 at the LCOE Workforce Training and Career Center in Clearlake. The duration of the course is 13 weeks, with instruction ending in May. The class will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Clinical training hours will take place at Meadowood Nursing Center in Clearlake.

CNA students will be training for a rewarding healthcare career that focuses on providing nursing services to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene and protection of patients and/or residents in a licensed long-term, intermediate health care facility or hospital. Upon completion of the program and the state licensing exam, students will be certified nurse assistants and prepared to enter the workforce.
