Due to continued road deterioration of the roadway, Bartlett Springs Road is closed to all traffic.
According to Lake County public works director Scott DeLeon, a portion of the roadway broke away and slid into the canyon during emergency repairs to other damaged sections. He characterized the damage as “substantial.”
The road is closed at mile marker 1.5. The stretch will remained closed until repairs are completed, which may be as early as Jan. 31.
An alternate route is High Valley Road out of Clearlake Oaks.
