The Lakeport City Council agreed to purchase new docks for Library Park during their regular meeting this week.

Aluminum dock sections and other materials will cost the city $226,336. The city had budgeted $250,000 for the purchase.

A Lakeport operation, The Dock Factory and Supply Co., will be responsible for the project. The council observed the product during the summer, as discussions of the proposed purchase advanced.

The new aluminum docks and gangways will be in place by early summer. The council voted unanimously in favor of the purchase.
