LAKE COUNTY >> The U.C. Master Gardeners of Lake County have scheduled several public workshops throughout the month and into February.
On Jan. 17, “Training and Pruning Fruit Trees — Why, How and When” will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Agricultural Center in Lakeport. Jan. 21, Master Gardener (MG) Jim Harrell will present a fruit tree pruning demonstration from 10 a.m. to noon on Reeves Lane in Lakeport. On Jan. 24, MG Richard Willard will present a demonstration of rose pruning from 9 to 11 a.m. at Austin Park in Clearlake. A second rose pruning demonstration, this time by MG Jim Harrell, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in Upper Lake.
A $5 per person donation is requested for each workshop. Call 263-6838 to RSVP and obtain further location information.
