KELSEYVILLE >> The Terrace Middle School eighth-grade boys” basketball team punched its ticket to the Crescent City Jaycees Tournament on March 6-7 by winning a qualifying tourney on Friday and Saturday at Mountain Vista Middle School in Kelseyville.

Terrace Middle School advanced to the championship game with a 48-26 over Middletown in first-round action on Friday night and a 37-28 victory over Konocti in early Saturday action. In the finals on Saturday night, the Vikings turned back Karperos Middle School from Yuba City to win the tournament and secure an automatic berth in the Crescent City Jaycees tournament.

Top players for Terrace Middle School were All-Tournament selections Preston Jones and Rodrigo Lupercio and tournament most valuable player Brady McGuire.

The Vikings are coached by Paul McGuire and Mike Damiata.
