UPPER LAKE >> The Upper Lake High School Booster”s Club is continuing its efforts to raise money to install stadium lights on the ULHS athletic field with the 7th annual ”Lights of Love” event, to be held Feb. 14.

Upper Lake is the only high school in Lake County without stadium lights and the acquisition of these lights will allow them to host evening games and to increase school spirit and pride. Future students will benefit from the ongoing commitments that are now being made.

Efforts from the last six years have resulted in funds reaching $100,000 and the Booster”s Club is optimistically hosting the Valentine Dinner/dance at the North Shore Event Center (formerly Son”s of Italy) on Hwy. 20 in Nice. It”s slated to be an evening of fun that brings the community together for a common goal. Happy hour beginning at 5 p.m. The buffet-style dinner menu consists of tri tip or chicken and will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A silent auction will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Live dance music will be played from 8 to 11 p.m. Beer and wine will be available.

Tickets can be purchased at Judy”s Junction restaurant in Upper Lake or from Booster”s Club members. Advance ticket purchase is advised due to a seating limitation to 200 participants. Individual tickets cost $25; a table for 8 is $250. Donations of prizes for the silent auction are being accepted, as well as tax-deductible monetary donations.
