LAKEPORT >> Mendocino College Lake Center will host welcome week events for all Mendocino College students, faculty and staff on Wednesday.
Community members are invited to attend and participate in the activities.
A free hot dog barbecue will be held noon to 1:30 p.m. The Lake County Friends of Mendocino College and members of the Lakeport Kiwanis Club will prepare and host this portion of the welcome event.
The Mendocino College Foundation will also host a scholarship application workshop for all students from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Round Room. The informative workshop presented by Lana Eberhard, scholarship coordinator, will provide helpful hints for writing a winning scholarship essay as well as tips and requirements for obtaining letters of recommendation.
The Mendocino College Lake Center is located at 2565 Parallel Drive in Lakeport.
