Eye Stroke
I had an eye stroke which I did not know was possible. My right eye went totally black when I was out of town. I went to an eye doctor in Red Bluff which said Mr. Rose I would not be worried about seeing an eye doctor I would worry about seeing a heart doctor because once you have an eye stroke, the eye is covered with blood internally there is not much anyone can do.
As now I have used up one of my nine lives; after about three months the dark shade went away and became a light grey V; and I could only see out of the middle of that V. Due to the stroke and my age, my eye lids began to droop. After time my right eye was only open by a slit. I went to my local Lakeport doctor and was told I need my eye lids lifted. He sent me to a doctor in Clearlake. I asked if there was any where else I could go. He said this doctor was very knowledgeable and good at his practice. An appointment was made with Timothy Young in Clearlake; Dr. Young said he could fix the problem. Both eye lids were lifted and I can see as well as I did 10 years ago with my glasses on.
I wanted to thank Dr. Young for his quality workmanship and do to the fact that Lake County has many older seniors that have problems seeing due to age, etc., there is a doctor in Clearlake that knows how to solve the problem. Also, thank you to my local eye doctor, Dr. Browning, that has been here many years himself. Just trying to help others!
Thank you
Ron Rose, Lakeport
Dating
According to Kevin Bracken (Oct. 15, Record-Bee) the age of the earth is determined by radioactive decay of elements, not radiocarbon 14 dating. Dr. Jim Mason, who has a Ph.D. in experimental Nuclear Physics, contends that radiometric dating isn”t trustworthy because the calculations depend on a number of unknown and unverifiable assumptions. He says that whenever radiometric dating techniques are used to age a rock whose age is already known the wrong answer comes up.
Evidently, Kevin is unaware that radiometric dating of rock from the lava flow of New Zealand”s Mt. Ngauruhoe”s 1949, 1954 and 1975 eruptions demonstrate that this dating process is inaccurate and unreliable.
Dr. Mason concludes that this leaves us with carbon 14.
Radiocarbon 14 age dating tends to confirm that the earth is about 6,000 years old.

The easier path
It is far more easy to NOT deflate a football, but far more easy to NOT fill it to proper size and pay someone to say it was filled correctly. Pointing out that the 11 balls were all the same size. Follow the money.
Another great example of any organization policing themselves and finding a truth.
