LOWER LAKE >> Eleven medals, three for first place, went to Lower Lake High School”s junior varsity and girls” wrestlers competing in the Willits Tournament on Saturday at Willits High School.
Jordan Harris went 4-0 at 184 pounds while Michael Jamison Jr. finished 2-1 in round-robin competition in the heavyweight division. The other first went to Rachele Wanger (2-0) in the 106-pound division.
Second-place medals went to Cristian Mendez and Jacob Freeman, who tied at 128 pounds; to Ryan Gillespie, who went 3-1 at 140 pounds; to Dahsaan Booker with a 2-1 record at 120 pounds; and to Krystal Lockwood at 106 pounds, her only loss coming to teammate Wagner.
Earning third-place medals were Corey Parker, Carlos Avelar and Edgar Cuevas.
It was the final tournament of the season for Lower Lake”s JVs.
