LOWER LAKE >> Two 4-0 teams entered the Lower Lake High School gym and only one, the host Trojans, emerged with a 5-0 record after beating the Kelseyville Knights 77-69 in North Central League I junior varsity boys’ basketball action.
Lower Lake (12-4) had four players score in double figures led by Garrett Chernoh’s 18 points and Marlon Jones’ 17. Jordan McGrath added 13 points and Jermaine Watson came off the bench to score 11.
Ean Valenzuela’s 18 points led the Knights and Gideon Turner had 13.

Clear Lake 54
Middletown 33
At Lakeport, Clear Lake improved to 3-2 in league play and 14-3 overall with a win over the Middletown Mustangs (0-5).
Tanner Hutton and Ryan Damiata sparked the Clear Lake offense with 15 points apiece. Max De Leon added 11 points and Cameron Borg had nine. Ricardo Chaires led Middletown with eight points and Travis Cook had six.
Upper Lake 51
Calistoga 26
At Calistoga, Khalil George’s 14 points helped lead the Upper Lake Cougars past the Calistoga Wildcats in NCL II play. Jacob Kalawaia added 13 points in the win while Nate Sneed had 11.

Clear Lake 59
Middletown 38
Valerie Hutton’s 27 points, including two 3-pointers, paved the way for undefeated Clear Lake in a league win over the Middletown Mustangs. The Cardinals improved to 5-0 in the NCL I standings and 17-0 overall.

“Everybody played great,” Clear Lake coach Jamie Watkins said.
Camille Donald had 16 points with two 3-pointers for the Cardinals.
Middletown, undefeated last season under head coach Roxi Hoogendoorn, was led by Callie Wilson’s 19 points.

At Kelseyville, Shayna Pike scored 16 points and Vanessa Hughes had 10 as the Lower Lake Trojans won their fourth league game in five tries.
