Lakeport >> The Lakeport Lions is partnering with the Lakeport Elks Lodge 2704 for the 49th annual Lions Crab Feed on March 21st at the Lakeport Senior Activity Center.

Boy Scout Troop No. 42 and Scotts Valley 4-H will help prepare and serve the all-you-can eat crab, salad, pasta and garlic bread dinner. No sauce, butter or seasonings are added to the cracked crab. If diners have a special accompaniment they prefer with their crab, they are asked to bring it with them.

The fun begins at 4 p.m. with a no-host bar provided by the Lakeport Elks Lodge 2704 with food service beginning at 5 p.m.

The event includes a raffle that offers a variety of items donated by Lake County businesses, Lakeport Lions, Lakeport Elks and Boy Scout Troop No. 42. The event also features a silent auction of homemade desserts and items donated from local merchants.

Proceeds from ticket sales, the raffle and the silent action are used in the community with the majority of local support going to the Lakeport Senior Activity Center, Lakeport school programs, scholarships, Boy Scouts, and Upper Lake Lights of Love campaign.

Tickets are $45 per person. A percentage of the proceeds from this event will be added to an account for the Lakeport Senior Activity Center towards the purchase of a new kitchen stove.

Tickets are available by calling the Lakeport Senior Activity Center at 263-4218, the Lakeport Elks Lodge 2704 at 263-8422, Lakeport Upholstery at 263-8931, the Meals on Wheels Store at 263-6174 and from Lions Club members Debbe Blake at 263-7789 or Kandee Stolesen at 263-1352.
