MIDDLETOWN >> Vanessa Hughes led the way with 24 points and the Lower Lake Trojans improved to 5-1 in the North Central League I junior varsity girls’ basketball standings with a 46-27 win over the Middletown Mustangs on Friday in Middletown.

Katie Miinch led the Mustangs with 11 points and Callie Wilson added 10.

Clear Lake 44

Fort Bragg 27

At Fort Bragg, Valerie Hutton and Camille Donald scored 12 points apiece and Corin Alakzsay had 11 as the Clear Lake Cardinals kept their perfect season going with a league win over the Fort Bragg Timberwolves.

Clear Lake is 6-0 in league and 18-0 overall. The Cardinals reach the midway point of their NCL I schedule tonight when they host Cloverdale at 5:30 p.m.

Lower Lake 66

Middletown 51

At Lower Lake, Marlon Jones poured in 22 points while Jermaine Watson added 13 in Lower Lake’s league win over the Middletown Mustangs.

Lower Lake is 6-0 in the NCL I standings. The Trojans close out the first half of their league schedule tonight in Fort Bragg at 5:30 p.m.

Clear Lake 86

At Lakeport, the Clear Lake Cardinals shifted their offense into high gear as they routed the Fort Bragg Timberwolves in league action. Tanner Hutton and Max De Leon clicked for 26 points each as the Cardinals improved to 4-2 in the NCL I standings. Ryan Damiata added 12 points in the victory.

Clear Lake closes out the first half of its league schedule tonight in Cloverdale at 5:30 p.m.

Kelseyville 61

Willits 41

At Willits, the Kelseyville Knights found the range from trey land on Friday night while beating the Willits Wolverines in NCL I play. Kelseyville buried a season-best nine 3-pointers while improving to 5-1 in the league standings.

Randy Pfann led a balanced Kelseyville attack with 12 points. Gideon Turner added 11, including three 3-pointers, and Logan Barrick had 10 points.

Rincon Valley 53

Upper Lake 24

At Santa Rosa, the Upper Lake Cougars fell to Rincon Valley Christian in NCL II action. Robert Neils and Nate Sneed had nine points each for the Cougars.
