Playing their best game of the 2014-15 season, the Clear Lake Cardinals limited Willits to 15 second-half points on Friday night while scoring a 47-44 victory over the Wolverines in North Central League I varsity boys’ basketball action at Lakeport. Clear Lake entered play 1-6 to Willits’ 6-1. The loss knocked the Wolverines out of a first-place tie with Cloverdale. Clear Lake’s Stevie Diaz (above) guards Willits’ Dimitri Betts during Friday’s action. The Cardinals (2-6) are home tonight to play Lower Lake (4-4). Junior varsity action tips off at 5:30 p.m.
