Lake County >> A new law has been passed that includes Habitat for Humanity in the list of available organizations to donate to when taxpayers file their California state returns.
The organization, which has a Lake County chapter, helps provide decent, affordable housing for in-need families.
Habitat for Humanity is the only housing organization available for Californians to select from the program.
To make a contribution, check the donation box on line 428 of the income tax return.
