Lake County >> More than 60 women spent an afternoon of sipping, snacking and shopping at the second Lakeport Women’s Civic Club (LWCC) Ladies Afternoon Out held on Jan. 24 at the Kelseyville Lions Club.
The fundraising event brought 16 vendors of various beauty products, food items, jewelry and other products for women to sample or purchase.
A raffle of items donated by the vendors was held every 15 minutes to add to the fun and funds for the club’s philanthropic efforts on behalf of community projects around Lake County.
Upcoming events for the club include the next luncheon and business meeting on March 6 at the Riviera Hills Country Club Restaurant. The meeting begins at 11 a.m. with lunch and guest speaker, Dr. Paula Dhonda, following.
Plans are also underway for the Mad Hatters Fashion Show and Luncheon, the biggest fundraising event of the year which is planned for April 25 at the Lodge at Blue Lakes. The theme for the fashion show and luncheon is a safari. For information about the LWCC contact Cheryl Robbins at 263-3455.
