VACAVILLE >> Members of the Punishers Wrestling Club of Lower Lake were among the field of 450 taking part in the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre tournament on Saturday in Vacaville.
Four Punishers finished first in their respective weight divisions and all but three brought home a medal of some sort.
Weight class winners were Isaiah Rubio, who went 4-0 in the 60-pound intermediate division; Blake Fredrickson, who went 4-0 in the 85-pound middle school division, including a third-round pin of Dakota Pingco of Falcon Wrestling in the finals; Dominick Clark, who went 4-0 in the 50-pound intermediate division; and Carter Rudolph, who went 2-0 in the 68-pound bantam division.
Second-place medals went to Jonathan Fredrickson, Bryan Gudino and Mason and Jayden Roath, all with 3-1 records on the day.
Picking up third-place medals were Nick Celli, Austin Fredrickson, Cisco Howland and Arturo Gudino.
The Punishers return to action in the San Joaquin Wrestling Association Championship on Sunday in Livingston.
