Lake County >> The Lake County Tourism Ambassador Program team is currently seeking input from the business, hospitality and volunteer communities to help shape the program through an online survey that can be found at http://tinyurl.com/LakeCntyCTA.
According to ambassador manager Rebecca Southwick, “This survey lets us hear directly from our business owners, volunteers and employees who have direct visitor contact. We want to know what sets Lake County apart. We’ll use the survey feedback to define the body of knowledge that will form the basis of the program.”
Those who complete the survey by Friday will be entered into a drawing to win one of four Lake County prize packages.
Survey participants can win four tickets to Lake County Wine Adventure in May and a $100 Park Place gift certificate; two tickets to the fourth annual Benefit Pianists Concert at the Soper Reese Theatre on March 8, plus a $75 gift certificate to the Saw Shop Gallery & Bistro in Kelseyville; four tickets to the Lake County Fair and a $50 gift certificate to Wild Creek Restaurant at Running Creek Casino; or a “Dine-Around-the-Lake” package that includes gift certificates to the Cowpoke Café in Middletown, Cabos in Clearlake and Danny’s Roadside Kitchen in Lower Lake.
Ambassador program classes will begin countywide in July. The Lake County Board of Supervisors has appropriated funds to purchase 200 membership enrollments for county employees and 200 membership enrollments for the private sector.
The cost to enroll will be $49. In order to earn their certification, participants will commit to four hours of classroom time and are required to earn credits during a six-month period through experiencing a variety of Lake County activities.
