Lake County >> The Lake County Outdoor Passion Play is seeking players for their 35th annual presentation on May 16 and 17. Participation in this event is open to the public.
The setting is a Lake County hillside. The natural outdoor stage, set amongst 80 acres, is filled over a course of about 2 hours with an all-volunteer cast and crew. Mounted horse soldiers, shepherds guiding their flock, families in search of eternal truth, Roman soldiers and other “enemies of Jesus” are just some of the parts that are being cast in this re-enactment of the final days of Christ.
Rehearsals begin on March 22 at the Passion Play grounds, located at 2010 Westlake Road in Upper Lake. There will be seven rehearsals in all.
