Lake County >> Multiple agencies seized hundreds of marijuana plants along with a number of firearms and arrested three people after a three-day ‘Nail the Mailer’ operation that began Tuesday.

Investigators from United States Postal Inspection Service, Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and Clearlake Police Department confiscated $73,141 and seized 63 pounds of processed marijuana, 903 indoor marijuana plants, six rifles and a handgun, LCSO Lt. Steve Brooks, public information officer, stated.

Five state and federal search warrants were authored for three residences and two parcels. The primary focus was to identify U.S. Postal Service (USPS) parcels containing controlled substances that were allegedly being shipped from Lake County, as well as the parcels shipped back with money authorities believe to be proceeds from sales, Brooks stated.

During the operation, 60-year-old Larry Fabisch, 22-year-old Taylor Fabisch, both of Nice, and 28-year-old Jonathan Meisner, of Clearlake, were arrested and booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility. Larry Fabisch was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and for being armed while in the commission of a felony; Taylor Fabisch was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and sales of marijuana and Meisner was charged cultivation and possession of marijuana for sales.
