MIDDLETOWN >> The Middletown Christian School’s benefit dinner and auction is set for April 11. Funds raised by the event helps provide scholarships for families in need of financial assistance, as well as the aiding in the purchase of classroom equipment, books and educational programs.
Last year monies from the silent and live auction supported eight students with tuition assistance and went toward new classroom computers. This year businesses in the community and the region have already donated hot air balloon rides, San Francisco Zoo tickets, a Six Sigma Winery tour and much more.
Middletown Christian School receives no federal or state funding for their programs. But contributions from the community have helped the school create a strong educational reputation. A graduate was recently accepted into Stanford University.
Donations for the live and silent auctions are still being accepted. The event takes place on April 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the Lions Club in Middletown.
