Clear Lake High School’s softball team scrimmaged Ukiah on Saturday in Lakeport, a final tuneup for the Cardinals before their season opener today in Calistoga at 3:30 p.m. Clear Lake also travels to Petaluma on Thursday to play Casa Grande at 3:30 p.m. The Cardinals open the 2015 season with four straight road games. Their home opener isn’t until March 17 against El Molino. A Clear Lake player (above) is safe at home plate on a close play. Starting pitcher Rachel Wingler (right) lets one fly.
