Lower Lake >> The Harbor on Main is asking for donations of old prom dresses for their Prom Dress Drive. Organizers are looking for gently used formal gowns and shoes in all sizes, fashion jewelry, and unopened makeup.
The deadline to donate dresses and other items is April 3. Dresses will be distributed for free to any high school girl in Lake County attending prom, and will be available at the Lower Lake High School Fitness Room from April 10 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., April 11 from 9 a.m. to noon and April 13 from 8 to 11 a.m. Recipients must have a valid high school ID.
The name of every high school girl who attends the distribution will be entered into a raffle for a free manicure or a styled updo for prom. Assistance is available to those who are unable to travel to Lower Lake through their own means.
Donations may be delivered to The Harbor on Main Youth Resource Center, at 16170 Main Street, Suite F in Lower Lake or to the HUB, at 750 Old Lucerne Road in Upper Lake.
