Middletown >> Tickets are now on sale for Gibson Museum’s First Anniversary Gala, slated for May 3.

The local-history-themed event will be held at Twin Pine Casino’s Event Center and will feature dinner, music and reenactments of scenes from Lake County’s past. There will also be games and several raffles available, with prizes including golf lessons at the Hidden Valley Lake Golf Club, wedding services to be performed at the oldest building in Lake County, the Stone House, and two garden chairs constructed from old wine barrels, built by the Middletown High School woodworking shop.

Guests are encouraged to come in costume representing the historical period of their choice — past, present or future — with a prize offered for best costume. In costume, or arrayed in vintage hats, scarves and other paraphernalia, guests will have the opportunity to have their portraits taken posed in a huge gilt frame.

Tickets cost $30 per person and are on sale now at Gibson Museum, Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum, Middletown Florist, 2 Women Traders, Jazzercise, and Mountain High coffee shops in both Cobb and Hidden Valley Lake. Tickets can also be ordered online at thegibsonmuseum.com. Each ticket holder will receive a coupon for $5 free play in the Twin Pine casino.

For information about the event, call 809-8009 or email gibsonmuseum@gmail.com.
