Seniors Cole Brodnansky of Clear Lake High School (above, left) and Wyatt Hall of Middletown High School were honored with $1,000 college scholarships last Friday during the 55th annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame dinner, Northern California Chapter, at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Hotel in Burlingame. Brodnansky and Hall were representing the Lake-Mendocino branch after being named its winners in early December, Brodnansky in the “back” category and Hall in the “lineman” category. They were selected from a group of senior standouts in Lake and Mendocino counties based on a number of criteria following the 2014 football season, including athletic ability, grade point average and involvement in school and community activities. Brodnansky was named to the All-North Central League I first-team defense as a linebacker while Hall earned first-team honors as both an offensive lineman and defensive end. Brodnansky and Hall were honored along with other chapter winners at the dinner.
