More than 70 community volunteers from businesses and the community at large will take to the stage on April 18 (3 p.m. and 7 p.m.) and April 19 for the 2 p.m. matinee. The Soper Reese Community Theatre, 275 South Main Street in Lakeport is the venue for this two hour musical celebration.
Every year the audience agrees ‘this is the best show ever’ and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce expects nothing less this year, explained co-director Diana Schmidt.
The theme for this 6th Annual Celebrity Who’s Who Lip Sync show is “Take a Walk on the Wild Side” — all songs are about animals or by groups with the name of animals. Some of the 20 songs of this two hour show will be “Stray Cat Strut,” “Muskrat Love,” “Eye of the Tiger” and “Beer for My Horses” to name a few.
Prices for the tickets are $25/person and a special Senior price on Saturday for the 3 p.m .matinee of $20/person. Also available are four VIP Tables at each performance for $300. These up front tables seat six people each. They are the lucky ones that get to interact with the performers on stage plus get free appetizers and three bottles of wine.
A fun aspect of the show is that the audiences get to vote for their favorite act. This will be the third year for the competition which lets everyone get into the act. A perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the winning act and be on display in their business sponsor’s establishment.
