Lost in a world of technology and instant communication is the art of writing a thoughtful letter. Benjamin Lovato, customer service supervisor at the U.S. Post Office in Lakeport, visits elementary schools in the area, introducing students to the ways of the postal service. He teaches letter writing, the proper way to address envelopes, how a letter travels from one point to another and more. Lovato brings all necessary supplies with him to the school — as well as a USPS delivery truck. He recently spoke with students at Lakeport Elementary.
