SANTA ROSA >> The Upper Lake Cougars sent 23 batters to the plate during a 16-run bottom of the fourth inning en route to a 19-3 non-league varsity baseball victory over the Potter Valley Bearcats on Friday afternoon in Upper Lake.
William Santos went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Cougars (2-5), who also beat Potter Valley 8-7 on March 6 in Potter Valley. Winning pitcher Cody Rybolt, Anthony Serrano and Anthony Percival added two hits each. Serrano and Percival had three RBIs apiece.
Rybolt worked four innings for the victory, striking out nine, including the side in the second and fourth innings.
