Lake County >> The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in identifying what is believed to be stolen property. The office is seeking any help toward returning the items to the rightful owners.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to a rash of reported thefts in the Kelseyville area, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Brooks. Around 3:15 p.m., with a resident’s help, deputies located a vehicle parked at Pioneer Park containing the items in question.

Some of the property was quickly identified by investigators as stolen and later returned to the proper owners, Brooks stated. Whether other property contained within the vehicle was taken during the spree has yet to be determined.

The Sheriff’s Office asks that if someone is missing an item, can identify it through a published photo, or can guide them to the owner, they should contact the office at 263-2690.
