Lake County >> The Lake County Democratic Central Committee will meet April 2 at the Lakeport Senior Center Conference room, at 527 Konocti Ave. in Lakeport, at 6:30 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Susan Jen, director of Lake County’s Health Leadership Network. She will discuss Lake County’s participation in the nationwide “Wellville Initiative.” Lake County was chosen, along with four other communities, by Health Initiative Coordinating Council to be a part of the Wellville Initiative after a nationwide search that drew 42 applications from 26 states. The agenda for the meeting includes reports from representatives for Congressmen Mike Thompson and John Garamendi, Assemblyman Bill Dodd and State Senator Mike McGuire, as well as reports from the Stonewall Democratic Club Chair and the representative from the Lake County Democratic Club.
