KELSEYVILLE >> The Kelseyville Pear Festival Committee invites local Lake County Artists to take part in a Poster Competition as part of the 23rd Kelseyville Pear Festival. This popular festival is one of the most widely attended events in the Lake County calendar. It is held on the last Saturday in September, this year’s date being the 26th of September.
The prize winning artist will selected by members of the organizing committee and will be awarded a First Prize of $500. The winning artwork will be used to promote the festival and will be turned into posters, fliers, and gift cards.
The artwork should reflect the theme of “Pears and Pear Farming in Kelseyville” and can be any size as long as it is portrait orientation ( i.e. taller than wide).
The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 15. All entries should be framed. The artist’s name and telephone number must be attached to the back of each entry. All entries should be delivered to John at the KPF office located in Affordable Travel office on Main Street, Kelseyville, 279-9022.

The Kelseyville Pear Festival has the sole right to make and sell posters of the First Prize winning entry, and may auction the artwork at the annual Pear Festival fund raising event.
The contest winners will be announced by June 15.
