LAKEPORT >> Wayne Breazeale of Kelseyville finished second in the pro division of the two-day California Tournament Trail pro-am bass tournament held Saturday and Sunday at Clear Lake.

The $3,500 first prize went to pro Jason Newby of Bakersfield with a winning weight of 62.74 pounds. Breazeale was a little more than a pound behind in second place at 61.66 pounds. He took home a check for $2,000.

Another Kelseyville fisherman, Paul Bailey, ended up sixth overall with 52.15 pounds and $1,300 in winnings.

Anthony Sierra won the amateur division with the tournament’s top weight, 66 pounds.

The tournament produced three big bass in excess of 10 pounds. The biggest was 10.29.

Sixty-six teams took part in the tournament.
