Lower Lake High School’s Ian Stiles (above) slides safely into second base with a double in the top of the first inning on Tuesday during a North Central League I varsity baseball game against Clear Lake at Lakeport. Stiles later scored to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead in a game they went on to lose 13-2 in five innings. Taking the throw is Clear Lake’s Jake Egger. Clear Lake’s Cole Brodnansky connects for one of his two hits on the day. The Cardinals improved to 3-0 in league play and 9-0 overall.
