Riley Adams of Middletown High School tees off on the first hole Wednesday afternoon during a Coastal Mountain Conference South golf match at Adam Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain where he was the low scorer with a 2-over-par round of 70, including five birdies. Not far behind was Kelseyville High School freshman Matt Wotherspoon (holding glove) with a 6-over-par 74 that featured three birdies. Middletown and Kelseyville are currently second and third, respectively, in the South standings behind undefeated leader St. Vincent High School of Petaluma. The CMC South meets again Wednesday at Hidden Valley Lake, Middletown’s home course. Adam Springs is Kelseyville’s home course.
