Lakeport >> Sunday, April 12 at 10 a.m. at the House of Living Rhythm (HOLR), located 100 N. Forbes St. there will be a community ‘HU Chant’ sponsored by ECKANKAR: Experience the Light and Sound of God.
ECKANKAR teaches that a spiritual essence, the Light and Sound, connects everyone with the heart of God. This Light and Sound is the ECK, or the Holy Spirit. Direct experience with these twin aspects of God opens the deep spiritual potential within each of us. The Light and Sound purify, uplift and direct us on our journey home to God.
Chanting or singing HU draws us closer in our state of consciousness to the Divine Being. This is its purpose. It is those who desire spiritual love, freedom, wisdom, and truth.
At the event, we chant HU for about 20 minutes then go into silent prayer, meditation, or contemplation for 4 to 5 minutes. Light refreshments and fellowship will follow.
The HU Change event is sponsored by ECKANKAR as a community service to provide individuals of all faiths and spiritual practices the opportunity to experience this ancient love song to God. Anyone can benefit from chanting HU regardless of faith.

Following the HU Chant and fellowship there will be a Spiritual Discussion on such topics as recognizing spiritual experiences, how to expand your state of consciousness, past lives, dreams and Soul Travel. This discussion will be from 11 a.m. to noon and is free to the public.
