Kelseyville middle school wrestlers Jasmin Clark and Bailey Huggins won fifth- and sixth-place medals, respectivley, on Saturday during the California Middle School Wrestling Championships in Napa. Brianna Thomas just missed out on the medal round, going 2-2 in the tournament, while Danielle Stevens finished 1-2. “We came to this tournament with no expectations except to learn and gain experience,” said Adam Garcia, head coach of the Lake County Wrestling Club. “So to come home with two medals and each wrestler getting a win, I say it was a very successful experience for us.” Medals were awarded to the top six finishers in each weight class.
