Brendan Maninger streaks around third base during Lower Lake’s 17-1 loss to the Willits Wolverines in North Central League I varsity baseball action on Wednesday afternoon in Lower Lake. The game went the full seven innings as the Wolverines didn’t blow it open until the top of the seventh. It was 2-1 Willits after four innings. Ryan McCarthy slides into second base with a double, one of the few highlights for the Trojans as they fell to 0-5 in league play and 3-10 overall. Michael James fields a ball at third base. Lower Lake hits the road today to play the Kelseyville Knights at 4 p.m.
