While she doesn’t have the supporting cast that she’s had in past seasons, Middletown High School left-hander Renee Edwards is still dealing some serious heat. The senior has a Lake County-leading 154 strikeouts in just 84 1/3 innings for the Mustangs, who are 2-3 in the North Central League I standings and 7-6 overall. Edwards, who also ranks high among Middletown players in most offensive categories, returns to action on Friday when the Mustangs host the Willits Wolverines at 4 p.m.
