LAKEPORT >> Although St. Patrick’s Day may be a distant memory for some, there are a few shoppers from Bruno’s Market that will not soon forget the Irish celebration.

On Saturday, March 14 at approximately 10 a.m. those lucky enough to be doing their morning grocery shopping, were treated to a special treat. Sequestered among the otherwise inconspicuous crowd was group of local line dancers, waiting for the cue from Pat Miles, line dance teacher, to begin a flash mob dancing session.

As the musical cue began, the dancers lined up in order and gave the crowd a rousing, two dance routine. It came as a complete surprise to just about everyone in the market, except for the store manager, who had arranged the event with Miles.

“It was a real fun event, and I think the customers were not only surprised in the interruption to their shopping, but quite pleased as well,” said Line Dance Instructor, Pat Miles. “ You can bet we just might show up about anywhere this year.”
