Lakeport >> A yard sale and raffle will be held on May 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2750 Hartley Road, sponsored by Northlake Adult Day Care. The sale is a first for the organization.
Available to shoppers will be household items at low prices. Clothing will not be an item.
A feature of the event will be the raffle. For $1 a ticket, or six tickets for $5, ticket buyers have a chance at winning a new Frigidaire convection oven or one of four unique baskets of household items. The owner of the winning tickets need not be present to win.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to support the Northlake Adult Day Care program, which provides exercise, both physical and mental, singing, and good nutrition for the participants in a pleasant and supportive atmosphere, and a rest for home caretakers. The staff are volunteers.
