LAKEPORT >> The free Spring Health Fair, hosted by Nature’s Food Center, is about more than food — although there will be plenty of samples.
The May 7 event also features demonstrations, and a chance to connect with local suppliers will give attendees an on-the-spot opportunity to exchange ideas and find some answers to questions about healthy products.
Some highlights of the day will be a Kombucha bar, rebounding exercise demo with Inger Grape, vegan/vegetarian protein drink samples, and drawings for healthy gift baskets.
Desiree Todd from Stable Food will demonstrate cheese-making throughout the day. Local organic produce supplier, Greg Wilson of Wine Country Cuisine, will share samples and explain the benefits of eating local and organic. Mike Schubert of Blue Lakes Walnut and Honey Company will answer questions about the advantages of local honey.
Representatives from Source Naturals, Host Defense, Irwin Natural, Ultra Labs, Real Aloe, Prince of Peace and more will be available at different times throughout the day.
The Spring Health Fair takes place at Nature’s Food Center, 360 Lakeport Blvd., in Lakeport on Thursday, May 7 from noon to 7 p.m.
