Lower Lake >> Lower Lake High and Konocti School District Present “Cinderella” at Lower Lake High School in the Multipurpose Room on Friday and Saturday and at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students, $11 for seniors and $12 for adults.
This year’s cast is filled with young talent. There are seven elementary students as well as 10 underclassmen.
“While they are very young in age their talent is well beyond their years,” said Tracy Lahr, the drama club teacher. She said she is looking forward to watching their talent grow and blossom over the coming years.
The cast of the performance includes Allison Harris, Alya Owaida, Avrill Pier, Carley Pesonen, Chloe Cox, Christina Larose, Dominic Cole, Edgar Cuevas, Jeremiah Long, Jordan Harris, Joseph Hughes, Kaymen Barnes, Kono Geary, Lily Wetmore, Makena Ferdolage, Malaiiahna Robinson, Megan Smith, Natalie Carte, Natalya Fortino, Peerliss Brooke, Rachel Cabral, Samantha Hughes, Sophia Larose, Tawnie Nell, Vanessa Hughes and Weeben Wetmore. These students have been working hard to prepare for this performance, and their efforts will show.
The drama club is in crunch time in preparing for this musical during its last days of practice. Their spring musical comes soon after their trip to New York together, where they toured the Apollo, visited the 9/11 memorial and saw three Broadway musicals. During their stay, they also participated in a couple of acting workshops to help further hone their skills.
“This is a classic we all grew up with and it’s exciting to be a part of this performance,” said Megan Smith, the actor playing the Fairy Godmother and a long time performing student with Mrs. Lahr.
The Lower Lake High School Multipurpose Room is located at 9430 Lake St.
