Clearlake >> There is still time to donate to the Highlands Senior Service Center (HSSC) Dollar for Dollar Challenge. All cash donations received through the end of April will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000 by a donor, effectively doubling your donation dollars.

During the last fiscal year, Highlands senior center received government funding that was equal to 16 cents on the dollar for operating costs. That means that community support is important for HSSC to continue to provide the services that seniors in the community need. With the federal and state funding available to HSSC shrinking more and more every year, and with the costs associated with providing their services to seniors continually increasing, fundraising is a vital necessity for HSSC.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations to HSSC are tax-deductible.

Mail your donations before the end of April to: Highlands Senior Service Center, PO Box 180, Clearlake, CA 95422.

For more information on the Dollar For Dollar Challenge, on how you can donate to HSSC, or on programs and services, call 994-3051 or drop by our office located at 3245 Bowers Ave. in Clearlake.
